Updated: Sep 22, 2020
Congratulations
Congratulations to the Waialua Bulldogs on winning the OIA D2 Football Title, to the Kahuku Red Raiders on another OIA D1 Football Title, and to the Kahuku Lady Red Raiders on their latest OIA D1 Volleyball Title! These champions bring great enthusiasm to our communities and their confident, polite manner makes us all proud.
Town Hall Meetings
In anticipation of the upcoming legislative session, we are hosting a series of town hall meetings to provide updates on various state initiatives and to invite community discussion about district issues and concerns.
We plan to introduce several new pieces of legislation this year and we appreciate early community feedback. Some of the measures could help improve operations in our state departments of agriculture and land and natural resources. Others address controversial issues like vacation rentals and lunch wagons. Please join us and share your manao.
All Town Hall Meetings begin at 6.30 p.m.
Monday Nov. 14 Hauula Elementary School
Tuesday Nov. 15 Waialua Elementary School
Thursday Nov. 17 Ahuimanu Elementary School
Adult Day Care Informational Seminar
If you, or someone you know, is a daily care giver for a parent or another adult at home, you know there is no nearby adult day care facility and kupuna services are very limited on the North and Windward Shores of Oahu.
A free, informational seminar of kupuna care service providers has been arranged to answer questions about available services and to discuss the possibility of establishing a new adult day care in Punaluu.
Care givers are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting to demonstrate the need and interest for better kupuna services, including adult day care, in our community.
